From Drowned Rat to Beach Brat: The Ultimate Jamaican Excursion

Image
Dunn’s River Falls & Bamboo Beach Club – A Jamaican Adventure You’ll Never Forget We absolutely LOVED this excursion package. If you’re looking for something that mixes adventure with laid-back beach vibes, this is it. Let’s start with Dunn’s River Falls . It’s listed as intermediate , but let me translate that into real-life terms: You will not just get wet. You will not be “a little damp.” You will look like a drowned rat… and you will love every second of it!! You climb straight UP through rushing waterfalls, natural pools, and slick rock steps while the water crashes all around you. It’s thrilling, a bit challenging, and absolutely breathtaking. This is one of those experiences where you feel alive, get soaked to the bone, and are  ridiculously proud of yourself at the top.     P ro tip of the century: Bring a waterproof bag and a waterproof phone case. Not optional. Mandatory. Unless you enjoy the idea of donating your phone to the Water Gods. You’ll want photos ...

Dolphins, Manatees & Sea Lions: An All-Inclusive Excursion That Delivered Big Smiles This excursion turned out to be one of those experiences that sticks with you long after you’re back on the ship. From start to finish, it was engaging, well organized, and packed with memorable moments for our whole group. First, the logistics. Everything ran smoothly. I purchased tickets ahead of time and they were delivered straight to the cabins. This made the morning feel easy instead of rushed. Once we arrived at port Cozumel, we were impressed with how easy it was to navigate our way to the excursion. It was well marked and easy to find. After signing our waivers we were transported to Chankanaab Park. I was impressed with how well the facility was set up. There are changing rooms , plenty of life vests for every size and clear rules that keep everyone safe… including no sunglasses or phones in the water , which makes total sense once you realize how easy it would be to lose them to ...

Just One Night, but They Got It Right: My TownePlace Suites Miami Cruise-Eve Review

Image
TownPlace Suites Miami Airport~ A Dream Stay for the night before your cruise! If you’re cruising out of Miami and need a hotel that truly gets group travel, let me save you the search: TownePlace Suites Miami Airport absolutely delivered. From the very start, Sarah was incredible to work with for our group arrangements. Organized, responsive, and genuinely helpful, she made the planning side smooth before we even stepped foot in the lobby. When you’re coordinating travel for multiple people, that kind of behind-the-scenes magic matters more than you know. Check-in was handled by Tanya, who deserves her own standing ovation. Warm, welcoming, and on top of everything, she made sure we had what we needed and then some. And when our cruise embarkation was significantly delayed, the hotel stepped up in a big way with luggage storage, saving us from hauling suitcases around Miami like we were on a very sweaty scavenger hunt. Transportation was another huge win. The hotel offers a free, eas...

Shrimp, Smiles & Service: Bubba Gump at Bayside, A Review

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.  🍤  Miami Bayside: Great Food, Prime Location, and Even Better Service We had such an amazing experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. at Miami Bayside . From the moment we sat down, the energy was fun, the views were beautiful, and the service set the tone for a fantastic evening. A huge shoutout goes to our server, JP , who truly made the experience memorable. Friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations, he pointed us straight to the mango margarita with Tajin on the rim , and let me tell you… perfection in a glass. Sweet, tangy, a little spicy, and served with style. The best part? We even got to keep the shaker . A small touch, but such a fun souvenir and a great conversation starter back at the table. For food, I ordered the ceviche , and it absolutely delivered. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated, it felt light yet satisfying, which is exactly what you want when dining by the water. I was hosting dinner with clients I had booked pre-cru...
