Choo-Choo!! A ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Experience from way up high!

What started off as a questionable choice, ended up being a unique and scenic experience! 

We absolutely loved our trip up Lookout Mountain on the Incline Railway!!

The view as you go up is amazing. As you come down the mountain you'll find a mix of awe and nervousness. The view out the front window is simply breathtaking. Don't be afraid to snag a seat near the windows. You get a full panorama of the Chattanooga valley below, and a you can watch as the old time railway works to pull the car. I was unsure of this prior to going, but boy am I glad we did it. It’s easy to see why this ranks as a top-rated attractions in the area.

The staff and conductors were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering questions and making everyone feel welcome. We went early in the day and boarding process was smooth, and organized. You do have to trade in your tickets for a boarding pass though! So give yourself a few extra minutes to stop by the ticket booth to accomplish that. There are restrooms that were easily accessed and everything was clean.

There was plenty of parking available at the lower station, which made the visit stress-free. There is a fee that you pay at the kiosk but it was minimal and very easy (you can scan the QR and apple pay!) 

There is an  ice cream shop which was a bonus surprise! We grabbed a cone and strolled around while taking in sights.

Once you get off at the top, there is a small givetshpt and snack shop. If you hang a right when exiting the top station, you can enjpy a leisurely little walk to Point Park.  It is a scenic and easy walk., The walk is dotted with a few small shops along the way. It’s perfect for taking your time, browsing, and soaking up the mountaintop vibe. 

Highly recommend this experience whether you're a local or just passing though. You can count on it being fun for families, couples, or even solo explorers.
